Fit & Function
-Exterior shell is aerodynamically shaped for ease of cutting through the air with less buffeting and wind noise, thus lessening the stress on the rider's neck muscles after a long ride.
-The exterior shell is constructed of a lightweight yet incredibly strong carbon fiber aramidic fiberglass blend.
-The Eclipse features a mid oval shell shape which offers a more generous fit front to back and more snug fit ear to ear.
-Three sizes of outer shells cover the eight helmet sizes for the ultimate in a light weight yet proportional fit.
-Features the exclusive “Vemar Klima” adjustable full ventilation system with four intake vents on the top of the shell and two large exhaust vents in the rear.
-Inner liner is manufactured from a technical fiber that provides life-long treatment against odor, fungus and bacteria, and extraordinary wicking capabilities that result in enhanced rider comfort.
-Inner liner has a full, wrap around chin curtain for the ultimate in comfort and noise reduction.
-Inner liners, chin curtain and cheek pads are removable and washable.
-The cheek pads are designed to perfectly follow the shape of the riders face and are molded from a proprietary material that has more memory then the foam used by the competitors, and consequently they are able to maintain their shape longer.
-Removable and washable ultra plush non-deformable high density expanded polyurethane cheek pads.
-Padded chin strap with double D-ring closure system.
-An anti-fog, non-scratch 2.2mm thick clear shield is standard.
-An extra anti-fog, non-scratch 2.2mm thick 50% tinted or “smoke” shield is included with each helmet.
-Shield is not quick release, instead they are bolted on so that they remain on the helmet in the event of crash, thus ensuring eye protection at all times.

Vemar on the combination of Snell and ECE certification:
The Eclipse is able to meet both the SNELL 05 (which focuses on absorbing energy) and EC05 (which focuses on dissipating energy) standards due to a specially developed combination of shell shape, shell rigidity and EPS thickness and density. This mixture or combination is key in the ability of the Vemar Eclipse to meet both these standards as Vemar engineers have had to design the Eclipse to meet the worse case scenario for both SNELL 05 and EC05, not an easy task.
The SNELL 05 standard requires a stronger shell able to resist two (2) high energy generating impacts, using a hemispheric anvil, at each test location on the helmets shell. Normally these types of impacts would fail the helmet if the helmets shell was designed and engineered to EC05 specs only as the EC05 standard measures the g-force absorption capability and the HIC energy dissipation.
Vemar gained a vast amount of experience by manufacturing car racing helmets under the FIA 8860 standard which includes hemispheric anvil impacts and HIC energy dissipation. Vemar then transferred this knowledge into the motorcycle helmet world by creating the Eclipse helmet in 3 shell sizes, designed to address both standards, combined with 4 different sized EPS inner shells which then allowed Vemar to develop the Eclipse keeping a close eye to the energies generated by dropping down the test heads when testing to both the Snell 05 and EC05 standards so that the helmet is then able to resist on the one hand to the force of the SNELL 05 impacts and on the other hand able to dissipate the energy measured by the EC05.
