I just received my insert last night for my new R1200RT. I wanted to be able to use the radio bay for strage, but was concerned that things I placed in there would roll around, make noise ande lead to a bad overall experience. When I saw this item online I was a bit concerned that it was small and wouldn't add much storage. I was wrong. The insert sits down into the radio bay allowing for more room than I expected. I can easily fit my extra keys, owners manual, bike papers, tire guage, etc., and it won't roll around.

It's well made, and should last the life of the bike. To clean it out, it pops out and back in. Alot easier to clean than a vacuum down the top into the bay.
