I've owned since new purchase in '05. I've had short but prefer long. The long I refer to is for taller riders, although I am only 5'10" and shrinking. Near 65 yrs.
You would prefer the 'back rest' with these. I've owned both since '05. Comfortable on shorter and long rides.
