Bought these and followed directions for about an hour and gave up. It is very easy to strip the threads on the top mount with the small socket head screw while fighting around the fairing to install the cross piece. The next morning I came back to the job and first removed the "tupperware" and in very little time had the bars installed with no further trouble. Takes about ten minutes to pull the outer panels to expose the engine and makes the job much easier.
